Alright, so you’ve FINALLY booked your boudoir session — yayyy!

But now you’re probably wondering, “How tf do I prepare for this thing?” Don’t worry, bestie. I’ve got you covered! Today's blog post will feature some super easy steps to make sure you’re ready to rock your session, look fab, and feel confident CONFIDENT AF before + during AND after your session!

1. Spoil yourself 😘

You are the main character, so why not make it extra special? Consider going the extra self care mile and book the nail appointment, get your hair done, buy the lingerie that's been sitting in your cart online, or even treating yourself to a little post-session lunch after all the confidence-boosting magic we create. Boudoir at its core is all about self adoration, so embrace the chance to pamper yourself because you deserve it!

2. Groom to your likings

Listen, body hair is personal, and there’s no right or wrong way to groom before your session. Whatever your preference, I want you to feel like the best version of yourself. So, you do you! If that means waxing, shaving, or just lettin' it grow. It's your choice, always. If you do plan on seeing your esti-bestie for hair removal services, please schedule your appointment 1 week before your session happens.

3. Stretch dem muscles

Boudoir involves a lot of posing that’ll have you arching, bending, and twisting in ways that might surprise you (all vv worth it for that 🔥 shot though *pinky promise*). Stretching your muscles beforehand can make a HUGE difference in how comfortable you feel during the session. Think of it as a mini yoga warm-up. You’ll thank me later! Need some stretching suggestions? Check out my blog post here.

4. Eat, hydrate, sleep (SERIOUSLY)

Now, let’s debunk a common myth: you do NOT need to “shred” or crash diet before your boudoir session. Your body is beautiful as it is, and trust me, we’re here to celebrate you, not some unrealistic version of yourself. Instead, focus on feeling your best by eating well, drinking plenty of water, and getting a good night’s sleep. You’ll have more energy, and no one wants to feel sluggish when we’re movin’ and groovin’ through the shoot.

5. Loose 'fits for the win 👏🏽

This tip is simple but SO effective: wear loose-fitting clothes on your way to the studio. I’m talkin’ sweatpants, oversized tees, and no bra. Basically ditch anything that leaves those pesky indentations on your skin. We want your body to be smooth and line-free (because trust me, editing out deep marks isn’t as fun as it sounds 😂). Plus, who doesn’t love a comfy 'fit moment?

6. Review any + all resources

I know we’re all guilty of not reading instructions sometimes (no shame), but I typically ask anyone working with me to take a quick look at the welcome guide sent over at least once before your session. It’s basically like your boudoir blueprint, and is packed with allllll the deets as to what to expect from me and your Head to Curve boudoir experience. Trust me, it’ll answer questions you might not even know you had! If you keep all these tips in mind, you'll show up on session day ready to mf slayyy ✨
