How to book:
STEP 1: SAY HELLO
You have to make the first move by filling out a contact form. From there, we'll exchange a few emails to chat about the vision you have for your sesh + make sure I'm the right person behind the lens. If it's still feelin like a 'fuck yes' in your bones, I'll have you pick a date and pay your retainer fee to secure the damn thang 🎉
STEP 2: THE BIG DAY
IT'S HEREEEEE! You'll arrive at the studio on your confirmation email for a 90 minute experience with yours truly (we'll literally have the best time)! As a reminder of the magic we created, I'll send you home with a few same-day polaroids to look back on!
STEP 3: HAPPY MAIL
A fully-edited gallery will be sent to you about 2 weeks after your session for review! During this time, you'll make final selections and go over ordering info for your products. Thinking you might want some extra goodies? We can chat alllll about that too 😉
Where will my session be?
Unless an outdoor session has been confirmed, your experience will be held inside one of the beautifully furnished studios* I rent hourly. They're all located within the greater Grand Rapid area, and minutes away from downtown!
*The studio booked for your session is based on location availability, but all of the spaces are GORGEOUS 😘
Is hair + makeup included?
Hair and makeup services are not included in my collection offerings, but that move was 100% intentional. Don't get me wrong, a full face of makeup is gorgeous. That isn't how most of my clients show up in their day-to-day lives though.
I want you to look back at your images and see you, not a done up version of you. That being said, please wear as much or as little makeup as YOU are comfortable with. Looking to hire a professional? I can recommend a few of my fave artists.
Will you help me with posing?
Of course! I'll be walking you through every pose, guide you through prompts or create moments for candid movements during your entire experience. You don't need to be a boudoir expert before your session. That's why you hired me 😉
Do I have to share my images?
Not unless you say it's okay! On your pre-session questionnaire, I ask what kind of image release you're comfy with: a full release, a selective release or to keep your images for your eyes only. Clients can also choose to change their release type at ANY time for ANY reason.
Will you edit parts of my body I don't like?
No and no. I've built this experience to help folks recognize that it's okay to take up space exactly as they are. This is a judgement-free zone, and I'm going to celebrate ALL of you during your experience because that's what you deserve 😘 now the random zit that magically decided to appear overnight?! GONE ✨
Can men do boudoir?
If you've got a body, then boudoir is definitely for you at Head to Curve! I am one of the few photographers in Grand Rapids who enthusiastically hold spaces for all genders, identities, and expressions. You can see frames of the many wonderful humans I've had the honor of photographing throughout the website!
