When Abigail told me she’d be coming all the way from a neighboring state for a weekend just to work with lil 'ole me, I was absolutely floored! I mean, someone was crossing state lines just to be part of the Head to Curve experience?! Mind = blown. As an artist, it’s always such an honor when someone chooses you, but this moment made me realize: Head to Curve isn’t just for West Michigan anymore. We’re reaching people beyond the mitten state. C'MON NOW! 🥹 the magic of boudoir is that it brings people together in ways you don’t expect. Even though Abigail and I didn’t know each other before her session, we’ve managed to stay connected well after her boudoir experience, and that’s something I've truly cherished.

Why Abigail Chose Head to Curve for Her Boudoir Experience

When I asked Abigail what drew her to Head to Curve, here’s what she said: "When I was searching for a boudoir photographer, I was drawn to Head to Curve because the images weren’t just visually stunning—they had this deeper emotion and energy that I didn’t see elsewhere. I wanted to celebrate my body, feel beautiful, confident, and joyful. Those were things I saw in Keara’s work, which gave me peace of mind knowing I was in good hands and could be myself." Feeling confident, safe, and celebrated is what we’re all about at Head to Curve. It’s why I’m so passionate about making sure every session is as empowering as possible!

Overcoming Nerves Before Her Boudoir Session

Abigail admitted she was nervous going into her session, as it was outside her comfort zone. She shared: "I’d never felt sexy in my life, and I thought I might look out of place or uncomfortable in my skin, and that it would show in the photos. But once I was in the session, the positive and supportive environment helped me let go of those fears. Seeing some of the images on the camera during the shoot eased my nerves, too." (That’s why I love showing a few sneak peeks during a session! It can help you relax and realize, wow, I really do look amazing!)

Abigail's Favorite Part of the Boudoir Experience

Her favorite part? Watching her confidence grow throughout the session: "I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience itself, but next time I’d add some yoga and meditation to my morning routine to feel even more mentally and physically prepared!" Boudoir isn’t just about the photos—it’s about the transformation that happens when you see yourself in a new, powerful light.
